ask for joint custody and make sure your lawyer gets your visitation rights stated clearly in the divorce papers so she can't keep you from seeing them. with joint custody you have as much rights as she does. your children need you both. i am proud of you for wanting to take care of your children.

Why would you leave a vital decision of that kind up to a group of virtual strangers in a public forum. You don't know most of us probably don't have the IQ of a philodendron.

Consult an attorney, find out what your rights and responsibilities are. Find out what rights the children have make sure that the children's welfare is seen to above all. The children are the innocent parties in this matter. Don't mess around get the best legal help that you can find in your area if you have to work two jobs to get it do it. Your children's happiness and welfare are at steak there is no room for error.

It's really up to the judge and if you're a fit parent there is no reason any judge would reduce your custody to so little. If anything it will be split equally. Your ex can request whatever he wishes but it comes down to what's best for the children, period. Consult a lawyer and don't stress so much. Pray for the best and have confidence in how vital you are in your children's lives. That will not be ignored.
