stop...Actually, I did not stop at all, I just proceeded to turn the corner, I know I am at fault for that and will pay the ticket, my QUESTION IS: I could not find my proof of insurance, I think the police were coing to tow my car, but he got called on another issue and said he'd mail my ticket, is he going to fine me for not having proof of insurance? I DO have it, I just could not find it that day. Can I fight it?

He will probably let you go.

I think you have to be cited on the spot and receive a copy on the day.
If not that gives him the ability to trump up charges.
That is why carbon copies exist in many institutions.

The "rolling stop" may get you a fine, but No proof of insurance? A "fix it" ticket at worst! Provide proof that you were covered by insurance on the date of the ticket to the court, and you should be "home free".

I live in NY State, the most restrictive of the 50 [we don't call it the Empire State for nothing!] and here, no insurance card, no problem! No insurance ... BIG Problem!

As long as you had insurance at the time of the citation, you should be OK!

Wait until you get the citation. If it is just for the rolling stop, then pay the ticket and stop worrying. If there is a second citation for not have the proof of insurance, go to court, enter a guilty plea for the rolling stop and show them your insurance card, explain why you didn't have it. A reasonable judge will dismiss the ticket or at least suspend the fine.

You will most likely get sent a citation for failing to stop. If no proof of insurance is also on the citation, just take your insurance card in with you showing the dates it was in effect and they will remove it if you truly were covered at the time you were pulled over.
Good luck.

In NY, if you don't have an insurance card, they can run the car tags through the computer on the cop car and check, You may still get a ticky but, It may be dismissed if you show proof of being insured on that date in court, insurance cards are inadmissable, you must have it faxed to the court by your insurance co., Also in NY you MUST be insured by law, so if you are driving with NO INSURANCE, and get "POPPED" You're a "KEEPER" and get the new chrome bracelets, and a new boyfriend called "BUBBA" in county lock up. Police get REALLY angry in NY if you get pulled over, and you have NO INS., now THEY HAVE TO ARREST YOU !

Fight and win. You will only have to show that you were insured on the date when you stopped. Cop may not even send the ticket.

You can go to court and show your insurance card (It has to show it was valid at the time of the citation) and have that charge dismissed (at least in California).

If the charge isn't on the ticket, you don't have to go to court, you can mail in your bail. Sometimes a court appearance results in a lower fine though.

that is not a undesirable habit, as long as u are helpful that there is no on coming site visitors. if a end sign does not have the "all way" sign below, i'm continuously extra careful, yet while that is end all way, then u could have sufficient funds to be slightly leniant. the cop purely needs your funds, they don't value ticket u because of the fact u are actually not being risk-free, u are being ticketed because of the fact they like your funds. if u see a cop, do exactly an entire end.

its called a california stop... I have had numerous tickets and have won most by pleading not guilty, asking for a court date and hope the cop doesnt show up, many dont and that is how I have won, if the cop does show you may still be able to plead guilty, and/or ask for driving school....FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.
