Yes it is. After your last cold your immune system was probably a bit low so it leaves you open to any bugs going around. Take vitamin C to build your defences back up. Get well soon x.

colds are viral so there is no cure for them and they are easily passed from one person to another.
my guess is that your immune system was still weak from fighting off the last cold you had when you came in contact with germs that caused the most recent one.
if after 2-3 more weeks you still don't feel good, make an appt to see your dr.
in the meantime-use these methods to help you feel better
-use a warm mist humidifier in your room at night while sleeping. this will keep the air moist, preventing your throat from drying out and being sore, quiets coughs, and also helps break up chest/nasal congestion
-drink warm tea w/honey. avoid lemons b/c the acidity could irritate a sore throat worse.
-take nyquil to help you sleep at night (rest is really important)
-drink plenty of fluids. dehydration will make you feel worse
-rest as much as possible-it's your body's best defense against germs.
feel better soon

It seems like your immune system is down. You need to take some zinc and echinacea and load up on the fruit and vegetables even after your cold has cleared to ensure that your immune system has what it needs over a longer period.
I hope you get better soon.

This is very common nowadays, this is because what we eat causes our body immune system drop. Try this, if you like. Eat a balance diet by eating more vege then meat, friut and milk and algae products like spirulina. Drink pure water, exercise and sleep 8 hour daily. reduce your stress in your lifestyle. This will build up your immune system instead of taking drug to cure your cold. Immune system build up means all discease cannot attck your body. Cheers for your health.

Not sure where you live but where I live the pollen and mold count is up higher than it has been in a long time so it may be allergies. Allergies can be just as miserable as a cold
