Depends on the height jumped from. At higher levels there is less oxygen, so during the fall breathing is difficult and can cause suffercation, or a black out. If he yells or screams this is more likely as he's are not breathing in. If it was from say 30 stories high or less there's no chance, mind.

There is something called the LD50. That is a height from which 50% of jumpers die. This is considered to be 4 stories high. But it's the sudden deceleration that's the problem.

Not from the jump alone, but, for example, somebody jumping from the International space station would burn up during re-entry. The speed record for a free-fall was broken by a man who jumped from the edge of space from a balloon. He did not die during the jump.

no.they die or get hurt wen they hit the ground and it also depends on the height you r jumping.the person wont die even if he falls on a safe landing.

Its not the fall that kills them, its the sudden stop at the end.
