the edge of space ends, but a new universe begins into another universe, it is forever unending, that is what eternal means, we are reincarinated over and over, once we are born we never really die

Hello and thanks for asking this question. You and about a million others keep asking it over and over again. The trick is to read, read, and read Yahoo Answers. Most questions have already been answered many times. I keep looking for "new" questions which will stimulate my thinking.
Okay... So you want to know about the end of space.
In order to find and comprehend (that is important) the thing you call the "End of Space," you first must know and understand the distances that you must travel to get to a place that might be the end. Once you know and have a true understanding of that you can move forward and consider this thing that you call the "End."
Right off the bat I can report to you that there is no edge like you refer to in your question. So we will dispense with that term and move right along.
Our Solar System is located within the Milky Way Galaxy which is a disk shaped thing some 1500 Light Years wide.
Beyond our Galaxy there are tens of thousands of other galaxies (or more) containing millions and millions of stars in each one of them. Some of the most easily observed distant galaxies are 40,000,000 Light Years away. Those are M87 and M104 and they are very bright.
Ian Ridpath, author of ASTRONOMY, DK Publishing, NY, NY, states that we are at the center of a sphere of observable space which reaches out Fourty Billion Light Years in all directions. That observable sphere is the absolute limit of the seeing capability of our best and finest equipment. We just cannot see any farther than that.
Now, here is the knowing and understanding part.
Please take out paper and pen and do this calculation for me...
Convert 40,000,000,000 Light Years into Miles.
Write the full number down on that sheet of paper you have.
Don't use scientific notation with powers of ten, etc., etc.
Now, compare that answer in miles to any distances that you might be casually familiar with in real life. What do you see? I think that you will see a distance so huge that it is just about incomprehensable. And, that distance is not the end, it is just the fartherest we can see with our fancy toys.
No one has been there. No one is going there. We have no idea what is beyond that because we can't see any farther.
So, this end that you are talking about is really the limits of our optics and the limitations of your and my eyeballs.
Have a good day.
Zah

I tried to imagine a theory which could allow us to fathom what you're talking about.. SPACE is a huge massive distance.. imagine one cell in your body represents the entire space that we know.. and the earth represents it's spacial equivalent.. and then make the same representation for space itself as we know it, and you begin to get an idea that you're talking about a very long distance. like :999999999999999999999999^999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 (thats to the power of)
What if out there .. we find space made of water.. a water space.. where there is only water.. ??? or ice??? who knows what else lies IN SPACE .. we only know our tiny area.. and already theres people trying to work out where it ends.. we've proably got a long way to go.. before we get close to discovering SPACE
What if we discover other civilisations IN SPACE.. we could have SPACE TRAVEL.. and give the mile high club a whole new meaning..
I hope we stop fighting wars and devote more globaly energy to SPACE.. and we can coin a new term for greenys.. SPACEHUGGERS.. or SPACESHAGGERS..
We should also try alter Mars atmosphere.. by setting off chemical reactions know to create whatever chemicals they're lacking to sustain life.. how awsome if we could turn Mars green.. with flowing rivers.. and lots of SPACE.. its a lot bigger than Earth.. and has natural features that would all outdo Earth..
But to answer your question.. No I have no idea whats at the edge of SPACE!

From where I am, after the edge of space is the place where I don't have to pay for rent. But I need more space.

To TJ:
First of all Mars is much smaller than Earth.
Than after the edge of the Universe (13,7 bilion light years away) is nothing as what concernes us because the theory of relativity says that nothing can exceed the speed of light. So when the Big Bang took place there was no particle or any kind of energy that traveld away from us with a speed greater than the speed of light.

Depends on what YOU think is the "end". If you're thinking about a solid wall of some sort, it STILL wouldn't be the end as you can penetrate through solid walls.
Someone once said, "whatever your mind can conjure up, it's possible". So that being said, there is probably no end as we know it; but then again, maybe there is. Which one are you?
(Jeesh! I hope there's no scientific proof of an end to the universe because some dummy would try to sue God for giving him claustrophia)

If you know the answer to that ,,You know the best secret in astronomy today, All studies show that there is no edge,But that the universe has no beginning and no end but is forever expanding.I wish I knew the answer also.

I would guess more space.I dont think they have found an edge there is just a limited distance that we can see.Heres something to make you feel pretty small. If you took a warehouse 1 mile long by 1 mile wide by 1 mile high and put one grain of sand in it earth is relative to the grain of sand and the warehouse is relative to the size of the universe as we know it.Pretty freaky huh.

THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF RELATIVITY. FROM WHERE WE ARE THERE IS AN EDGE DEFINED BY THE SPEED OF LIGHT. IT IS ABOUT 15 BILLION LIGHT YEARS AWAY. SO IF I CHANGE MY POSITION AND GET CLOSER BY 5 BILLION LIGHT YEARS, I WILL STILL HAVE TAN EDGE AT THE SAME DISTANCE. NO MATTER WHERE YOU STAND IN THE UNIVERSE THE EDGE WILL BE DEFINED BY THE SPEED OF LIGHT. BASICALLY NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE AS FAR AS YOUR MEASUREMENTS ARE CONCERNED IT'S AS IF YOU ARE ALWAYS IN THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE.

more space
John D doesnt have a clue either! The Earth compared to the universe wouldnt equal one grain of sand on the face of the Earth! There are an estimated 200 million stars in our galaxy alone! The estimates on the number of galaxies in the universe are more than all the grains of sand on all the beaches on the planet Earth!
OKAY, LETS PUT THIS TO REST HERE! CARL SAGAN QUOTE..."THERE ARE AS MANY GALAXIES AS THERE ARE GRAINS OF SAND ON ALL THE BEACHES IN THE WORLD"!
