No, and peopel might sympathize for the extinction, but dodo's got their name from being ditzy. They fly into walls, objects, and planes, often killing themselves by it. They are extinct now, but if you could somehow have one as a pet, it might fly into your sliding glass door when you served it dinner, making it not such a reliable pet to have around.

Well, seeing that they are extinct........
I guess you could keep a stuffed one around, if you could find one, then, yes it would make a great pet. Low maintenance!

ps. they can't fly and seeing as how they've been extinct since the 17th century i doubt any planes were around for them to "fly" into.
