Paypal is great, I have been using it for over 5 years. It is just as trustworthy as any large bank firm!

1. You can check your account anytime you log in.

2. You are sent email notifications of all payments and deposits to the account.

3. Transferring money to and from mbank accounts are as simple as the touch of a button.

4. I do not know about an Indian bank, I would contact PayPal for more info than that.

When opening the account, you must have a bank account. It takes a couple of days, because they make 2 deposits into your account which you must verify by logging into PayPal with the correct amounts. You get to keep whatever they give you, but don't jump for joy, it isn't much.

Have fun and good luck Hon!

The process for signing up for a PayPal account is pretty straightforward, and is well documented on the PayPal site. I'd suggest you click on the "Help" link on the site's main page and you'll probably find all of the information you need.

In answer to your specific questions:

1) just log into your account. You will be taken to your account management page, and will see all deposits and withdrawals.

2) You can either arrange to have your money automatically transferred from your PayPal account, or set it up so that you must request its transfer. This is done through the "Merchant Services" options. I'm not sure about whether Indian banks are eligible or not, but I'm willing to bet that the information is there if you read through it.

3) In general Paypal is fairly reliable. They do have some fairly well-documented problems, and some people avoid using it. You might want to check out http://www.paypalsucks.com for "the other side of the story."

Go to paypal.com and enter some financial information. They will need a checking account number. In aboout 2 days you will receive 2 separate deposits in your checking account for about 50 cents total. Then you will be able to use paypal. I've used paypal for almost 3 years with no problems, using eBay.
They are owned by eBay and are very good with money transfers. Good Luck!
