In India, 99+% marriages are performed within the same caste and community; inter-religious or inter-caste are 1-%. Almost all who counsel, teach, advocate and canvass for no discrimination basing upon caste or religion, act contrarily in own life. The caste (even sub caste), community & religion are very much important in marriages. All marriages are performed reciting holy sacred verses from ancient scripts. Intercaste or interreligious marriages are registered with the Marriage Registrars by spouses alone, while their relatives and friends dislike and condemn. Their hybrid children also have to marry the same way without the caste & community people, relatives and friends.
Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, rite and ritual. It divided humanity in 4 categories (varnas) and thousands of castes therein; and others are Untouchables, worst and dirtiest than animals. A Hindu always belongs to his caste. Castes are quite unchangeable.
ALL THE INDIAN CENTRAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS' RULES, LAWS, ACTS, notifications, orders, directions, clarifications, explanations and ALL THE SUPREME COURT'S & HIGH COURTS' JUDGEMENTS ::: ALWAYS CONFIRMED THAT HINDUS' CASTES CAN NEVER BE CHANGED.
If possible, one from higher caste would have changed to some lower caste to avail of the government aids, benefits, subsidies, free house & house sites, free lands, interest free loans, free education, free hostels and other facilities given to lower caste people by the Government..

Not at all. Although culture matters a bit. Poeple from different culture take some time to mix in. Caste is a wrongly manipulated system of the society. It's important to look for a compatible and a responsible partner. Restricting your zones to particular castes and communities would not help.
All the best...

Of course. At least in India, it is required. While debating, people say that it is not required. But in reality, I strongly feel that caste community matters in marriage. Further, it will be better for the proposed newly wedding couple shall be from close family friends of the same community or from the close family circle. If their family customs, family traditions shall be known to newly wedding couple before their marriage so as to long last their married life.

Depends on your family background. But it's high time people get rid of these silly customs. It is causing too much disruption in soceity. Just because a person is not of the same caste or community doesn't make that person bad.

NO!! Not at all. Only thing that you should not ask the benefit of caste for reservation. You should be either for or against it.
However as per any one, if you ask its all rubbish, its the only political class that has pigged out the skeleton and the nation would continue to repay for it.
