What's the differences between microbiology & molecular biology??

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms, which are unicellular or cell-cluster microscopic organisms. This includes eukaryotes such as fungi and protists, and prokaryotes such as bacteria and certain algaes. Viruses, though not strictly classed as living organisms, are also studied

Molecular biology is the study of biology at a molecular level. The field overlaps with other areas of biology and chemistry, particularly genetics and biochemistry. Molecular biology chiefly concerns itself with understanding the interactions between the various systems of a cell, including the interrelationship of DNA, RNA and protein synthesis and learning how these interactions are regulated.

There is a clear difference between the two:
Microbiology is the biology of micro-organisms (very small living beings such as bacteria, fungi and yeasts).
Molecular biology is a science close to biochemistry. It studies the structure of organisms - at a molecular level. It is also closely related to cell biology.

i think microbiology has more to do with the study of bacteria and the like while molecular biology deals with genetics.

hello dear,,,,,,im a microbiologist,,,,,,,sure there is abig difference between them,,,,microbiology is the study of microorganisms such as bacteria,fungi,algae,& parasites,,you study there shapes,distribution,mode of infection,& how you treat them, how you cultivate them,,,,,,,but molecular biology is the studing of the structure of the DNA molecules and how protein is synthesized,,how is the configuration of the dna molecules that is double helix strands,,in general its about the human genes,and the DNA......study this you will enjoy it......
