Wax durability varies. Carnauba waxes usually range from 1 week (Zymol Cleaner Wax & Meguiar's older version of Gold Class) to the durability king(s) made by Collinite which can last up to 6 months.

Most carnaubas average about 4-6 weeks. Sealants are synthetic waxes and are usually more durable. Meguiar's NXT lasts about 2.5-4 weeks while Zaino and Klasse last at least 6 months. Many average about 2-4 months.

Spray waxes aren't really formulated to be durable but there are some surprises. Duragloss Aquawax has a reputation of being easy to use, really good looking and quite durable (at least 6 weeks). It is the best of the spray waxes rivalling even some premium boutique waxes. I've tried Eagle One Nanowax Spray also and its not too shabby at about 4-5 weeks and is good at hiding minor scratches and swirls.

Your best bet is to use a paste wax as your base layer and then use a spray wax as a maintenance item to renew the just waxed look every other wash. Have fun.

Do yourself a favor and try Mothers three step 1. Cleaner 2. Sealer Glaze 3. Pure Carnuba Paste Wax.
We live in Up State NY. The weather's fairly harsh. I've used these products for 5 years and water beads well on the painted surfaces for a solid year. Now comes the whammy. The cars are parked outdoors and are in the elements year round. The other guys are correct anything works for a while. Why do it so many times a year when one great multi application stays on longer.
The spray on products are really slick on top of a great wax job. It will enhance most any wax system. It's life expectancy is measured somewhat. Good luck with any product you choose.

About 3 months usually. It depends on how much the car is driven too. The spray wax at the car wash doesn't do it for me. I think it is a waste. The best is still the carnuba wax.

Alot depends on where you live also and the type of season it is.
I always know when mines ready as when i drag my fingers across the outside it losses its smoothness and drags.
So thats my test so when gets to the drag stage against my fingers its time to rewax.
Dont buy cheap wax also.Doesnt have to be top of range but not the cheapest.
I use wax added to my car shampoo and a non spray wax also.

More than anything else, it depends on the amount of driving and the conditions in which you drive. Rub on waxes, like carnuba, definitely last longer than spray-ons. They have a higher wax content and will be less soluble to water, thus less likely to wear off as quickly.

There relatively isn't a defined time that it will final. It relies upon on climate, in case you park indoors or outdoors, how oftentimes you wash, and so on. solid rule of thumb is to maintain on eye on the vehicle while that is moist. you will observe after a clean coat of wax, the water will bead on the paint. because of the fact the wax interest fades, the water won't bead as plenty and type extra of a sheet. as quickly as the beading is long previous, it's time to reapply the wax.
