Yes it can but you'll need a software to bypass the copy protection. I use winavi to copy my movie. But I think this is against the law. So be careful not to use it for piracy just for back up your disc.

I think you can copy a protected DVD with Nero software by selecting the option copy DVD.But you can't save it in a computer.

If all else fails, ANYTHING can be copied via analog. Just get Dazzle video/audio input for your computer. Then plug in the A/V output from any device (like a DVD player) and record to your computer. Then burn the DVD from the recording you made.

It depend on the software u use... some software allow copyright DVD to be copy...u can try searching for the software at download.com... i download before an software which allow me to copy dvd that copyright.
