good question

People who walk around as if they are better than everyone else makes them egoistic, or egotistical. People who behave as if they know everything are arrogant. What makes them egoistic and arrogant is that they're a$$holes.
That's my two cents for ya.

I believe that both personality traits are rooted in self-esteem issues. People with a genuine sense of self-worth do NOT walk around with a "superiority complex". Our country is plagued by the idealism that the measure of a man's worth is calculated by dollar signs and designer lables. Egoism and arrogance are deeply rooted in Man's need for acceptance and admiration. TRUE success and wisdom in life are only earned by having lived through a culturally devastating position in life and having lived through it. The man who has seen rock bottom and has survived is superior to the man that has always had someone to bail him out. I am in a debt crisis at this moment. I have two children I want to put through college. My drive and motivation are greater than that of someone that takes these things for granted. I am blessed that I have the knowledge of genuine SACRIFICE. I have worked very hard ( earning my college tuition teaching music lessons, and working full-time with a full class schedule). Those of us with a greater than "Abercrombie" mentality know. Arrogance ius NOT intelligence. It is the antithesis of it. Compassion and empathy are requirements of the TRULY gifted amng us.

Being me. Execpt that isnt true. Egotistic and arrogant have such negative connatitions. I believe the world is about me. What evidence is there to refute me? Every day I wake up and Im still there. I see my body, and my face. Everyone I talk to talks to me. Every time I go outside, the sun is shining for me. Also, I do know everything. Atleast everything I think. It might not always go along with what everyone else thinks, but they are wrong. I know what I think, therefore I have justification that its true because I experienced the thought.
