What do you thing happen with Atlantis and its people?

Atlantis, as far as I know, is a legend. It may be based on a story of an island which sank in the Mediterranean.
Usually such sinkings are gradual and inhabitants would have time to find other places to live. Some might have drowned or died in accidents. Survivors likely were absorbed into other cultures and their stories are probably the basis for the legends about Atlantis.

Atlantis did not sink, and its people did not survive from a massive impact. Atlantis is forever gone and traces of any evidence can only be found beneath the asteroid continental Australia...

They were a flourishing advanced culture that was written about, and so I believe that yes they existed. I believe that a natural disaster took them out and it will rock our world when proof of what they accomplished is discovered.
