masturbation activity is not a sin but thinking to others while on masturbating is a big sin.

If you are looking for the true religious, Catholic answer then, yes, it is a sin...a mortal one. One isn't to have sexual pleasure outside of marriage in order to produce children. I'm sorry, there's no way around it...believe me, I've checked. It was pretty hard for me to find this out a while back because I thought it was ok and used it to help with sexual tensions that I couldn't otherwise deal with. I did have a heart to heart with a priest about it once and he gave me some relief in that if I know it's a sin and am unable to control it either by individual urge or addiction then it's not willful so in that way at least it's not a mortal sin. I still confess it though. If you need to talk more go ahead and contact me by email.

If it's a sin then I'm going straight to hell. As far as it being wrong i would say no because it is only part of nature and is part of growing up. Heck Ive been in the same relationship for over ten years and i still find a reason to masturbate sometimes.

NO! Masturbation is not a sin.
Be advised that you will not:
grow hair on your palms;
go blind;
loose your mind;
suffer memory problems;
become sterile;
go to h*ll when you die,
but you will:
be relaxed;
relieve stress;
likely have a smile on your face most of the time;
and you will be perfectly normal like 98 percent of guys. By the way the other 2% are liars!
Keep it up and have fun.

If you want this answer from a catholic preist, go to confession. I don't think there are many priests sitting on Yahoo questions and answers.

I would think that most traditional Catholics would say that it is. In today's world it's pretty much accepted. I mean after all, if it is we had all better jump that bus for he**.
