Yup, to some extend, it would helps a bit. But the more important thing is that you need to rest your mind. Stop thinking of the problems that you are facing. Try meditation, if you know how. Try to do more exercise in the day time. You fell asleep easily when you are tired.
When you have already lying on the bed, try to blank your mind, imagine that you are in an empty room, with all walls in white colour. nothing inside the room, except you yourself. Imagine that you are meditating in the middle of this room. Try to feel your breath,,,in and..out..and in...and out....

i AM and have always been a night owl since i was a kid.

Warm milk before bead with honey is very comforting.
the milk does have a chemical reaction in our bodies that helps induce sleep.

be sure to brush your teeth after the milk! LOL

Also, TRY to set a bedtime for your computer and tv usage of 11pm. then read for the next hour, and unwind without the stimulation of tv, and the computer.

try listening to meditation tapes, on relaxation with a headphone when you go to bed.

yes, the milk can help.
mainly it's like 12:50 is when is my drop dead bedtime.
or i'd stay up all night.

try some deep breathing, and imagining yourself at a quiet place, and soft music.

earplugs help turn my brain off and so does an eye mask.
it's like turning my brain off a message that warm milk, and ear plugs, and eye cover it's sleepy time. usually works.

good-luck!!!

Warm milk & read a good book while your enjoying the milk. The book will make your eyes feel tired and the milk really does help with sleeping. You don't need to brush after drinking milk so long as no sugar has been added. Milk is rich in calcium. Calcium makes up our teeth.... :)
