I have dataone broad band connection and i have using this through two lan card one for broad band another one is loacal area net work. If i connect the internet, the explore is showing "the page can not display" while using the LAN connection. If i disconnect the LAN cable and browse the internet it is working correctly.

1. Now i asking can i use the both connection in same time? if it is possible what is configuration settings.

2. Can i share the connection other systems with my IP address 198.162.0.xx (I can not chage the address because it is used to Tally Account software sharing)

You can set up internet connection sharing on the PC that connects to the internet and then connect the other PCs but you would need the main PC on to use the others on the net. This setup is prone to failure also. You are better off buying a router. A wired router might only cost 20 bucks if you do a little shopping.

In the second LAN card, set the default gateway & primary DNS server to the first lan card. The things should work fine. To do this you will have to right click on the network icon on system tray for the lan card & click status , click properties, click tcp/ip then set the values as said above then close the opened windows.

get a router instead of the swap. this sort the broadband can connect with the router and then each and each and each workstation can connect with the router. you could attempt to reset the swap and notice if that works, unplug it and wait a couple of minutes and plug it decrease back in. in specific circumstances this works.

first u can check defoult gateway may be it's 198.162.0.1.1 and then u can go in on othe pc and riht click on ur network niegbourhood and then click on properties then select tcp/ip

then check properties then u specify IP Adress if ur and put gateway and other confi this. may be u get resul

u just try to ping ur dns number by a ping(ip add.)
