You have to live somewhere. Is there a state where you like ALL the laws?

I agree, I have never understood the Washington DC people yapping about "taxation without representation" and give us "statehood". What a crock. No one in the city of Washington DC had to move there, they knew there was taxes and congress members and they sure do not deserve statehood. ON the statehood issue keep in mind that Washington DC is a Very small city, less then 300,000 registered voters and less then 20 % ever show up to vote. Area wise it is smaller then neighboring cities of Rockville, Fairfax and Alexandria. So if we gave DC the Statehood deal every big City in the Country would want to be their own state. I say give the city back to the state of Maryland and let them get their representation from them as a city. Heck if you take the City of DC and remove all the land that is Federal property (which has no private residences on it) ((except the White House)) and the real size of Dc is smaller then most townships.

So I agree - if the people do not like the laws - move.

It is funny but I think no matter where you live I think that the idea of, "states" will eventually fall into a unified, "Republic" as the financial systems of the country start to fail, then it will be one law to rule all, so whether or not people like it or not the reality is the States are on borrowed time.

I did not answer the question because I think in 10 years it will have little relevancy

I always try to push my beliefs on others (liberals), just as others are always trying to push their beliefs upon me.

It has to be one way or the other, and only one side can have their ways as law. So I figure it should be me forcing my values upon others, instead of them forcing their's (or a lack thereof) upon me.

What's really great is that I don't care if people don't like it, and in fact I hope they don't like it.

There are some laws I don't agree with in my state, but I like the geography and the activities it provides. I would prefer to change the laws, not change my geographic location.

YEAH! I agree! If someone doesn't like gay marriage they shouldn't live in New Jersey or Massachussets.
But how can you reason with NeoCons? They are so stupid!
