I think the scene from 'Interview with a Vampire' where Lestat (Tom Cruise) is thrown into the swamp and slides beneath the surface looks very much like he's going down in quicksand. Technically it isn't quicksand but very similar I think.

Scientologist theory... on the giant spaghetti monster... vs... quick sand... it's something most directors avoid when dealing with the Cruise factor... more of a headache prevention than anything... (besides he too short for the screen tests in the sand tanker)...

because scientology won't let him :) Well I shouldn't say that since i don't know really anything about that I think i'm going to look it up and study it. ( maybe because Britney Spears said she would beat him with an umbrella if he did I really don't know.) :(

Because the studios has to pay his so much, they cant afford to buy that much sand....Also god forbid it might, mess up his hair!!!
