Yes, I'd be lying if I said I didn't.
I think judging someone by their appearance has it's pros and cons.
Sometimes judging by appearance can keep you from getting into danger.

Yes, almost everyone does. Not in a negative or stereotypical way, but until you have other information the only thing you have to go on is visual. Even if you TRY not to form an opinion about someone, until you speak to them the only thing you have to rely on is their appearance, so although YOU might not make an assessment of them, your subconscious will. The old adage is right though "Looks are VERY deceiving".

If your spider sense is going off about someone in particular there may not be a reason, but the only way to find out is to put yourself in a situation where your instincts are telling you otherwise. Sometimes it can work out in your favor, you may make a new friend, meet a lover, etc... sometimes it can get you injured, even killed. It is all about the level of risk involved in any particular circumstance.

I am a very open and accepting person, I make friends very easily and love having many different friends from all walks of life. Its not just human nature, but animal nature to quickly judge and filter information. The difference in being human is you know and can realize it's just that - only a "filter", and you have the ability to make the choice whether to listen to it... or not.

Yup! usually we make an assessment of a person by our first sight. When I see someone, by his appearance, an impression is created within me and I do form some opinion about the person without even having talked to him / her. This is something natural that we are all (most of us, anyway)inclined to do. However, there are times when our judgment of a person by his appearance are proven wrong when we get to know the person better.

I usually conduct interviews for people who wants employment in my company and let me warn you that appearance is one of the first thing that hits us - if we are happy with the appearance, then the interview would proceed well otherwise we would be just going through the motion! So, appearance are important!!

I read "don't judge!" but we do naturally For our safety , for a mate, for a friend The most amazing thing is we seek someone as like ourselves as possible for a mate or friend. Its no wonder that old married couples look alike because they started that way. Why because our greatest idea of beauty is our own. It takes an extremely strong minded person to Un learn that bit of pschiatric info. To look past the obveous and truly see someones values and flaws. Flaws? why flaws ? Because a good vintage flaw contributes to a persons character.
" Appearance " -so check the eyes first glimmer with secret thoughts or well kept temper or a good glint of sense of humour
-teeth and jaw clenched ? angry or bad breath embarassment?
-wrinkles around the eyes and mouth could indicate a long time smiler
-A mans dusty coat says Sherlock Holmes means his wife has ceased to love him and wont brush his coat but then Sherlock Holmes missed that he might work in a chalk factory or be single or just doesnt care
See judging by any criteria could be wrong so listen to your inner angel and stay out of dark alleys and run if you see a peg legged man with a parrot on his shoulder who says "You're smart as paint Jim smart as paint!"

For many years I tried not to do so, thinking that judging a book by its covers is wrong, but, many times, I was deceived: people are the way they look. Sad, but true.

This is more of a biological thing. People who have average traits appear innately stable to us, thus we perceive them as attractive and expect them to be a certain way, whereas those less appealing are perceived to be inferior, unless they compensate with a striking personality.
