Why on earth do you want to do this? Every Mother thinks their child is the absolutely best looking child in the world and that's fine but believe me, submitting children to the drama of this role can be more damaging than helpful.

You have to ask yourself who you are doing this for and why.

Are you just looking for people to tell you that you have the most beautiful baby they've seen?

Surely, within yourself, you know that.

I've seen very close friends impose their own desire to be acknowledged as having the prettiest daughter etc. on the world and come a cropper when Agencies decline their children. Do you really want to be told: 'Thanks but no thanks'?

You really need to have supreme self confidence and be willing to hear the 'not so good' answers if you are going to submit your child to this.

Be comforted in knowing that you have a happy and healthy child and ensuring that your child feels love no matter what others think or say.

Cute baby but can he/she/you really cut it?

If you really feel the need to test it, contact the various Agencies listed in the Yellow Pages but be prepared for knock-backs.

Okay, first, we don't know how old your child is, but I can give you a couple things to think about:

1. Babies change appearance all the time. While they may have been cute last week, and you still think they are adorable today, the pictures will dictate whether your baby gets a job. You will need to always be having new pics taken of her for every "go-see".

2. Most casting calls are done in major cities, especially NY and L.A......which means that if you don't live there, you will have to fly there. Casting calls can take an ALL DAY wait, just for a 10 minute interview. And your baby might not even get hired for the job.

3. There are laws protecting the amount of time per day a baby can "act", or "model", or do any such work. This limits the baby to about 1 or 2 hours per day of work.

4. Those 2 hours might earn you around $200, and you must give the agent a cut of that, and there are laws about what you are allowed to do with your baby's money after they earn it.

5. After considering expenses, low return, and travel problems, the question is: Why do you REALLY want your baby to model? All parents believe their babies are beautiful, but as an infant, there are only benefits to the parent: Attention.....for you, the parent.
