In the last world cup in 2003 , there was a USA Team also that had played. Cricket is not popular in USA and even in that team almost all the players were of Asian origin .

Its not obligatory for every country to play cricket !and their power can not change taste of their people.....Media is not giving enough coverage to this game and secondly they have baseball to play !and thats why their people could not give attention to cricket ! also they think its a waste of time to spend the whole day in watching a game where two players are playing(batsman and bowler) and rest 10 players are running after the ball !(thats what they think)...just depend on their way of thinking ! but ICC is trying to intruduce this game there and for that they have held some matches in America few months back!
But Yes please keep the US away from this game atleast ! they already have enough hold of the world !

Hey, being a super power does'nt mean you can play cricket. Cricket can only be played by teams who have the potential to do so. And well look at Bermuda, they were tharshed against INDIA!
Maybe if they work hard on their cricket, next time they may be able to play but they will face the same fate as Bermuda and INDIA will thrash them by maybe 300 runs!

Soccer has a following in America. Rugby even has its fans. But the only person I know in the US who follows rugby is a guy who represents cricket players...in other words, someone who is paid to watch it. I'm not trying to knock cricket, it might be a very nice sport, but we have no way of knowing. Nobody watches cricket here, nobody plays it, nobody thinks about it.

They didn't qualify. They qualified for the ICC Trophy (top 12 associate teams (these exclude the full-member 'Test' teams)). They had to finish in the top 5 to quality. They finished 10th...which translates to an overall 21st in the world. Only the top 16 qualified.

Because they SUCK!!! We don't want them to play. They'll ruin all our records with other teams scoring almost 500 against them. Stop asking for them to come! Would you like to see such cr*p cricket?
