I feel this show and many others do nothing but insult the intelligence of the average Americans , or do you think we really are this stupid ? Only looking for serious answers

I don't think that the show paints a negative picture of Americans. The type of questions being asked are no different than those used on shows like Jeopardy or Millionaire.
Most of us have forgotten a lot of what we learned in primary education...... not because we're dumb but because we haven't had the need to call on that information in our daily lives. For example, back in grade 5 or 6, we all studied the Pythagorean theorem in geometry class. We memorized it and we were tested throughout the year with right angle problems until we could calculate the length of a hypotenuse in our sleep. I doubt whether 5% of adults would even know what you're talking about today but I'll also bet just about any 5th grader could recite and apply it with little effort.
That's the basis for the show. We all know that the kids couldn't answer questions relating to micro or macro economics or discuss current events but it's fun to compete with them on their own playing field.....and we laugh at ourselves.
Either that or I'm as dumb as they come and I'm not ready to admit that to anyone yet. Heck, I'm not even American but I still get a kick out of the kids taking control over the grown ups. They seem to be having fun.....isn't that what it's all about?

I only watches about 5 minutes of one show, but that was enough for me. It looks like a REAL stupid show

The show is creepy and I do not watch it. I watched the first show for a few minutes and it was so stupid I had to turn the channel.

I tried watching it once just to give it a chance. But the show WANTS the grown-ups to make a fool of themselves and that's not cool. I boycott this show.

No, adults are not stupid. It's just that the questions asked are tailored to the knowledge of school-aged children who are learning, or have just learned, them, knowledge we once had but have relegated to the cellars of our brains because we have not really had much use for them.
