My big sister is almost failing Social Studies no matter how much she studies because her teacher is old and has a mind loss, so he's kinda out to get her and some other students. How can my sister get her grades boosted up?

well social studies is a subject of cramming rather than understanding...to ger her grades improved quickly the only way out is to help her adopt better ways of cramming! Tell her 2 use abbreviations, acronyms, links to learn up stuff like for eg...in history if one has to remember all the powerful mughal emperors one can learn the acronym BHAJSA:
B- babur
H- humayun
A- akbar
J- jahangir
S- shah jahan
A- aurangzeb

n stuff like that...and tell her she shud first read the chapter to get an idea of wats actually in ther n then slowly step by step learn each important topic n if required she can learn each answer n write it down to test herself.

nd as far the old teacher is concerned i think she shud talk to the class teacher or the principal...

um..well no matter how bad the teacher, if you can do well on ur tests, then u will get good grades.....its not about how long and how hard she studies...its about how well she understands the material. She has to study efficiently, rather than lengthy.

She can do extra credit, get study guides directly from the teacher, have a parent teacher conference, and have her parents contact the teacher and/or principal to talk, or switch calsses

Find some novels of ACCURATE historical fiction that portray the eras she's studying in SS. They'll help her better grasp the time period. Movies help, too!

Well, If she's doing good, but her teacher doesn't understand, she should give him a small gift like an apple, so he remembers she is a good student.
