A very benevolent goal, but not very realistic. The poor will always be with us.
That does not mean that we cannot help the poor. We should always help those who are in need.

1. Establish a Social Security System that supports free Health, Life, Unemployment,.. etc. insurance
2. Increase Trading throughout the world
3. End MOST Communist runned countries (However, the goverment started by V.I. Lenin {Russia} was a communist society yet the type of goverment supported the working class and not the high class; this type of goverment might 'level' down poverty, but it is unfair to most people), Start more Republic or Democratic Societies
4. Tighten relationships between countries, end all wars
5. Support charities

No way! no matter what we do, there will always be poverty! Trying to end world poverty is easier said than done, a noble cause but an impossible one.

By stopping the checks to ignorant useless people (lindsey lohan comes to mind) and using the $$ for something to actually benefit the world. But I don't see that happening anytime soon because apparently movies about meanie bo girls stealing your Tiger Beat on the playground are more important than the war in Africa and the homeless guy that has 2 purple hearts that you stepped over to get to the ticket line. If everyone would get their heads out of their as*es something could get done.

poverty is political.
we in the US are payed to not produce all our farm ground as a flooded market is a flat market. We could grow enough on our fallow ground to feed everyone on the planet.
Do you realize there is enough fast food fried chicken thrown away every day in our country to feed every one going hungry here.
same with burgers that have been up to long.
it's all about the money
