Dubya that is...he wants to do things his way or face a Constitutional showdown, and some Congressional Dems claim that they will not have it. I didn't realise that Dubya knew what the Constitution was, didn't he once refer to it as "some old paper"?

So...should Congressional Dems simply press ahead, or accept what Dubya wants to offer? Well...I'm hoping for a showdown myself.

Bring on the showdown baby! I've been waiting for years for all the Bush corruption to finally be exposed. Of course, this is a more recent situation...but it is a start! I wish it didn't have to be that way, and that corruption didn't have to be so prevelant in our system. But, I do wan't the lessons to be learned, and perhaps the same intentional "mistakes" won't be made again.

Yes. Does the words "Lame Duck" mean anything?

Bring on the showdown. The Emperor is about to be fed to the wolves as his other cronies in the long run will not bail him out. Their agendas have already been completed.

Maybe instead of calling the Dubya a Lame Duck it should be a Sacrificial Lamb.

If there is a showdown the Emperor will win. All of the things that have been done by him are legal. If necessary he will feed his LOYAL SUBJECTS to the wolves but he will remain scott free. Is this the way a government should be run? Is this the kind of "freedom" and government we want others to have? It doesn't make sense. What we need here in the USA are two new parties and the dems and repubs should be disbanded.

The democrats are going to do nothing as they allways do. They can just hope and pray that they can create some other scandal or the war in Iraq takes another bad turn so that they can win in 08 because they do nothing that justifies it.

Also President Bush is not an Emperor neither does he act as one. And please post a link for him refering to it as some old paper or else it just shows from the begining your bias and that your talking out of your ***.

The liberals did no longer prefer to shelter pediphiles. They objected to conservatives attempting to lump pediphiles in with homosexuals. I do think of they ought to have lined veterans ought to have been lined between others shielded from hate crimes. IF we've a hate crimes bill in any respect! yet I extremely have a concern with the thought of "hate crimes." If somebody commits a homicide, they need to be prosecuted. If somebody murders me for my MP3 participant how is that much less of a criminal offense than in the event that they homicide me because of the fact of my race? And might that be a decision for the jury throughout the sentencing section? i ought to ask a question approximately that.

Gabriel is right. Those in the top levels of government tend to forget that they are there to serve the people, not the other way around. But, unfortunately, many of the people themselves forget it too, and that makes abuses possible. The Constitution is meant to protect the people from the tyranny of the government. It is meant to restrict the governments power. There should not be any way for those people to be allowed to keep information from us that we have ever right to know. The corruption needs to be exposed.

If the emperor didn't have something to hide, he would have no problem with anyone testifying under oath, etc. *sm*

Well, it looks as if you'll get the "showdown" you want. Is there some unwritten law among liberals that you don't use the title President Bush? Your totally lack of respect for the President lessens your credibility. Congress should shut up and listen now and then, they simply want a show.

the politicians should really quit wasting time on things that really do not matter.
socialist hillary clinton has already stated if elected president she would replace ALL the congressional lawyers
our politicians need to quit wasting our money and start focusing on what is really important to America, things like healthcare and jobs and taxes,
they also need to quit taking so much time off

I'm glad people stand up to him and demand answers.

There's something people of this country need to get into their minds: Our politicians need to Explain themselves. They must NOT hide or lie. We vote for them, we pay them, they must answer to us and I mean EVERY American citizen.

Hold them accountable. They must NOT hide anything from the American people. This is the true freedom everyone talks about ! We will never find freedom fighting a nation half way across the globe.

I'm hoping for a showdown to. I'm sick of this crap of the politicians getting a long. I wish they'd bring canes back and start beating the crap out of eachother. Then they might not have enough time to completely take away our liberties.
