Depends on the upbringing. I don't think it has anything to do with being a single parent or a two parent family. I was a single mother of two boys and had friends who were raising 4 boys of their own. Mine learned you had to work really hard for what you wanted and that nothing came without a price. Never had a moments trouble out of either. My oldest now helps his grandfather on the farm and my youngest is headed to Iraq to defend his country. My friends children seemed to stay in trouble and did a lot of drugs and such. I also think it has a lot to do with the type crowd the children run around with.

I think kids from single-parent homes have to learn lesson faster than kids with two parents in the home. I really think that it makes them stronger and more self aware. They really learn how to deal with things at a earlier age. My answer would have to be yes. There are great support groups for children in single parent homes. Check out your local community centers. Get them involved in groups where
they are with kids going through the same thing

Depends on how the single parents raises them. I'm a single parent of a 4 yr old girl. She acts like a teenager. She wants to do what she wants. But she does have manners and does listen very well.

Oh yeah, they don't have both parents to sit there are correct them all the time. Meaning, they have to learn for themselves making them have more experiences, they learn from their mistakes and I think they mature faster that way. I grew up in a single parent family and I think I am very mature for my age...and plenty of people have said that about me...
