Rep Traficant of Ohio was indicted, accused of taking bribes. He was charged with using his staff with having them work on his Ohio farm and expelled from the House. The underlying reason was the House was controled by the Democrats and he voted for the Impeachment of Clinton. He voted many times with the Republicans and the Democrats used this as an excuse to get him indicted. The Judge that sat on his case was the husband of one of the proecuters that investigated and a large contributor to Clinton. It was a political railroading at it's worst. He was the Sheriff of a county that I cannot remember the name of, before entering Congress.

James Anthony Traficant, Jr. (born May 8, 1941) is a flamboyantly iconoclastic former Democratic Representative in the United States Congress from Ohio (from 1985 to 2002). He was expelled after being convicted of taking bribes, filing false tax returns, racketeering, and forcing his aides to perform chores at his farm in Ohio and on his houseboat in Washington, D.C.,[1] and is currently serving out an 8-year prison term scheduled to end in 2010.---------------------------------

He was a Democrat who dared to speak the truth. That's why he's gone now. Democrat+truth=don't mix.

The truth hurts and liberals don't like to hurt so they can't stand the truth...Oh, I forgot they wouldn't know truth if it walked up and slapped them in the face.

That's why they railroaded him even though he was one of theirs
