what do you think about the woman in Sudan that has been sentenced to death for adultery. But the guy that raped her gets off because there wern't any witnesses.

It is another form of a classic double-standard taken to the extreme. Over here a woman who sleeps around is a whore, but the guys she sleeps with are called "players." Besides, if she was in adultery she could not have done it by herself...They are making an excuse to be sexist, and the crime is against their own people. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...(Hosea 4:6)" I don't even know if they realize how cruel an act this is...

Hi John, The whole thing stinks. Why in GODs name do different countries have so many screw up believes and laws??? This woman has done nothing to be put to death. That F U C K I N G RAPEST IS THE ONE THAT SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH!!!

It is appalling. I was in the Army for 15 years and I was stationed in Saudi twice, this is something I have heard of frequently. If the Saudi women would look up at our trucks while riding in their cars they would usually be beaten. It seems like they frequently blame their women as if males there cannot control their urges. I was told that they cover their women to protect them, it seems so hypercritical to me.
I heard of a woman being drowned by her father for bringing disgrace on the family. She lived in a closed compound with tall fences and she went swimming in her pool. A man saw her from the house next door and said that she was exposing herself to him by being in a bathing suit, so she was punished by death.

moronic country with idiotic rules all because of a backward religion.
to me this is just about as appropriate as the ability for men to divorce their wives by saying "i divorce you " three times to the wife while she is sleeping and it being a valid divorce.
THese countries have poor institutions that are only in favor of the man.
the men abuse their power, abuse their women, and i hope they all get shot to death when america tries to reform them (because sooner or later, america tries to reform everyone, weather thats good or bad is another topic)
