i need a symbol for...?

its homework. I need to find a symbol representing African-American slaves breaking tools in order to resist slavery. (for example; slaves purposely worked slowly, and a symbol for this would be a turtle) i would have to explain the symbol, so please pick a reasonable one, most preferrably a picture. ty!!!

Just have a pair of (black) hands holding a broken hammer....or something along those lines...
