Actually there is a book out there for this called "Out- of- body adventures, 30 Days to the Most Exciting Experience of Your life." by Rick Stack. The book tells you the procedures and how to create the perfect OOBE and ect., I think that may help you learn to have a out of body experience. (If you want to start doing astral projection.) It's kind of ironic that you ask this question when I just bought that book above to learn astral projection yesterday.

do a search about astral projection. some believe you can have an out of body experience this way, and even travel to other locations. there are sites with instructions and everything.

Yes, I do. But it's past my bedtime, and not a good time for astral jaunts right now. All I'll say for now is that it's like a deep state of meditation, when you go into it. But it doesn't work if you fall asleep, which I'll be doing any minute now!
