I always heard the Fox is the smartest, and that the turkey was the dumbest of em all. Am I close?

Blue Whales! Humans dont know much about them, for they are too smart.
Dodo birds are dumb and dead now.
Turkey's are probally the most stupidist animals of em all.

No, humans are the smartest, and chimps are second. We are included in the animal kingdom. As far as the dumbest, its a close call between a sponge and a jellyfish. No way is it a mammal, or any vertebrate animal. You need to think of all the invertebrates too, like starfish, insects, etc. They are all classified as animals. Any multicellular organism that isnt a fungus, and doesnt produce its own food is classified as an animal.

man is the smartest animal. Dumb I'm not sure about, all creatures have enough brain power for what they need to do to survive.
Other than man these are some of the smartest animals. I don't think that a fox could hold a candle to them on the smartness scale either!
Orca, dolphin, porpoise, sperm whale, humpback whale, pilot whale, blue whale, elephant, chimpanzee, gorilla, orangutang. Most dogs I think can outfox a fox!

Some people think the human is the smartest, but prime examples including George Bush, and Britney Spears disprove that immediately.
The dolphin and chimpanzee are quite intelligent, with intelligence levels quite close to humans.
Turkeys and Republicans are the dumbest.

Presuming you mean other than humans, which, as one person points out, can easily qualify for both:
Dolphins are considered among the smartest animals. Whales might be even smarter than dolphns, but we have a lot less data on that. Other primates, of course.
Donkeys are supposed to be smart as well. Smarter than horses, anyway.
Turkeys and chickens are both pretty dumb. They both have a very poorly developed brain. Opossums are also pretty stupid.

I beg to differ ,the Turkey , the wild turkey that is has more brains than many humans i know.They can survive in the wilderness here in canada ,manage to find food in the middle of winter, raise a clutch of young ones in a nest on the ground with coyotes , foxes,racoons,and a host of other wild creatures around.

The smartest is either the african gray parrot or the ant(not counting humans). i dont know what the dumbest is.
