I don't think it's a good idea, but he says it's perfectly safe. What should I do?

Oh my god you have to be kidding right??? How can anyone let their child be carried around like that. This is an infant not a puppy come on! I don't care if it is my cousin, sister, best friend or next door neighbor I would tell them that if they don't correct the issue I am calling child protective services. I mean how would you feel being carried around in a dog's mouth??

Maybe if you specified if the dog is carrying a newborn PUPPY or a newborn BABY, some people might understand where you are coming from.

If it's a puppy, it's normal. If it's a newborn baby, obviously someone needs to have their parenting skills evaluated by a health professional.

I'm hoping that this isn't a goof off question to get people upset.

I have no evidence that this is harmful to the baby, but I can only assume it is a horrible horrible idea. I would definitely approach him about it and if he still lets it go on I would call child protective services. Remember that babies have a soft spot on their heads that must be protected at all times. And also...whose to say the dog doesn't get distracted and drop the baby or even worse, bite down on it for some reason. This is something that needs to be taken care of immediately, I am feeling sick just thinking about it.

You must be talking about a newborn puppy as there is no "loose" skin on a human baby, if this is the case, it's normal, thats how mother dogs care for their pup.
If it is a human baby, call social services, fast!

Yes, the St. Bernard's newborn can be carried like that without injury.
Trolls, on the other hand, would just as soon eat their young.

After opening paintings on the refuge, I not ever allow a puppy lick or kiss my mouth once more. There are tons of illnesses that may be unfold that manner, adding coccidia, giardia, and inner parasites..... Turn your head and maintain a towel helpful!
