Hey, that's a cool question!!!
I'd rather go with clothes and no gloves...if it gets too bad, you can use your sleeves or something and still be decent...or you can take your shirt off and swing on the rope like a hang glider type thing! A mile is an awful long way for your arms, though! ;)

I'd rather have the gloves. I don't care about being seen in my underwear (but others might find it unpleasant to see me.) And traversing 1 mile of rope would cause serious rope burn.

You say "or have clothes and only wear underwear" Doesnt make any sense. I think you meant "or have gloves" not clothes.
So Ill say have gloves cause ropes will burn my hand, they are hard to climb.

why did everyone assume they had to climb the rope? if the rope were stretched out on the ground, i do believe i could go gloveless!
