I had a discussion about Lieberman with a coworker a couple of months ago. SHe liked him and I complimented about some of his views, but I told her that I doubt America would vote for a Jew with our propblems we are having with the middle east. Imagine what the middle east would think a Jewish man running our country. Some already claim that the U.S> is owned by the Jews. Some might fear that this would encourage even more terrorist acts.

Jon....Judaism is a religion....not a state. That being said, yes, a Jew could be elected president.

Is it likely? No. Jews don't think that Jesus was the messiah and the extreme right wing neo-con nutjub evangelicals wouldn't be able to accept that.
