I think you are being a little harsh, but I do agree that many questions are formulated to solicit a certain response. You can usually tell by the way the question is asked what the asker wants to hear. That happens here in the catagories where the answers can be taken more as opinion polls than hard facts.
Of course, questions over in DIY like "how do I fix my leaky faucet?" only carry the undertones of really needing to fix a faucet. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Yeah, that seems right. Some do want answers though. These are the one that ask fact based questions, unfortunately they are probably only going to get a wikipedia answer and nothing more.

Yeah that's pretty harsh. I answer mostly questions where people need a real answer not an affirmation.
