Besides being greedy, he was very short sighted in that public corporations are typically valued at multiple of earnings and by reducing the companies profit, he devalued the price of his own shares to a greater degree than if he had been honest and taken the multiple.

the question is not worthy of a decent answer. that is why we have the courts to decide if it were "his" money. i rest my case -- but the courts have not, as yet.
