Well I cracked my tail light and it's been kinda hard to find a replacement (the whole tail light) for a 1997 pontiac sunfire i've looked on ebay/asked auto part stores with no luck does anyone know where to find one and if they know how much one would run if I got one from a dealership?
Thanks

You can try junkyards. Call and ask if they've got that part and how much they want for it. If they do, it will be on the car. Usually they will take it off for a fee or let you take it off so you save a little bit. It's cheaper than the dealership or auto parts store, and with something like a tail light, you can see if what you're getting is in good shape.

You can ask several auto body shops for estimates. You can also ask a dealer's parts department. You can look for one at a junkyard or flea market. You can keep looking for it on Ebay.

I Think your best bet is to go to a junk yard. It will be alot cheaper than a dealer unless you're not concerned about prices. A new one will probably cost a couple hundred but one from a junk yard around a hundred.
