If you're going into Elementary, you need a Multiple Subject Credential. You'll need to take the CBEST (easy), the CSET (a bit more difficult), take courses, and do student teaching. It'll probably take about a year to finish up completely. Good luck!

YOu need to take the courses required for a teaching credentials (Special Ed and others) and meet any other requirements. Probably six months to a year of school parttime.
Consults with the California Dept. of Education site for specific details.

You should begin your teaching credentialing classes for your multiple subject credential. During that time, you will also do your student teaching. This usually takes about a year to a year and a half.

Check with the schools in your area-with your masters, you probably only need a few more credits to allow you to sit for your teaching exam............good luck
