I'm sure your computer has Microsoft Office Picture manager.
Try opening the picture with that, clicking edit, selecting color, and turning the saturation down to 0, it drains all the color out of the picture.

Paint Shop Pro 6 (and UP) can do this easily. Under the programs Menu "COLORS" just click on "Gray Scale" and it is done!!

Print the color picture. Photocopy it in black and white. Scan it if you must. Or just send it to a non-color printer.

I am not totally sure but try looking into Adobe Elements, I have seen some fantastic things done with this program.

microsoft word. copy and paste it into word, then go to picture properties, and there with be a button that says color, and change that to greyscale.
