Most likely she is sleeping too much through the day. Try limiting her day time naps. I went through the same thing with my son and after I started waking him up earlier from his naps and not letting sleep as much through the day, he started sleeping better through the night. If your daughter is in day care or has a baby sitter through the day, make sure you have a talk with them about limiting nap time also. Hope this helps!

She is at the age that she realizes that there is seperation between her and mommy, so when she wakes up she might be wanting bonding time between you. It's a natural action that should tell you that she is developing properly.

What you can do though is when she wakes up, minimize all activity. If she wants fed, feed her in a dim-light room, no playing, no talking, no activity other than quiet bonding and feeding. What you are doing is keeping the room dark enough and making her comfortable when you feed her that she will feel secure and filling her belly after a quick diaper change to make her feel dry, and she should eventually go back to sleep. It takes consistency. :)

My daughter is the same way, and shes 20 months! But every child is different. But kids will tend to wake up at least during the night til their sleeping habits get on track.
