is the water pressure housewide? or just in the shower? if it is just the shower it could just be a blockedscreen or rust in the orifices of the shower head. to check shower..remove the shower head check inside the pipe for plastic water reducer if you find one remove it and turn on the water, to check flow. then check inside the shower head body for a screen or reducer, check for dirt or rust that can be blocking water flow remove and clean if you can. if its an old all metal head, replace it with something newer. most cities have free lower water flow heads that you can get through your public utility...

First, take the shower head off and check for mineral or sand deposits. If it is plugged up and you can't clean it, you will need a new shower head. If you still don't' have enough pressure once you are sure the shower head is clean, then check to see if you have good pressure anywhere else in the house. If you do, then you probably have piping that is corroded shut. This is typical of galvanized pipe. You will have to replace what is corroded and the bad part is much of it will be in between walls and ceilings which you will have to break into and then repair or replace. If the shower is not the only place in the house where the pressure is weak, and all the piping is good, then it the problem is in the water service and you should then contact the water utility, or if you have a well, the problem could be there. A lot to check out.

I had this problem due to a section of old rusty iron pipe that feeds that apartment. The water basically just dribbled out of the showerhead.

I put a water reducing showerhead in place. This achieved an acceptable spray pattern, but of course doesn't really "fix" the pressure problem. It took the limited waterflow and was able to concentrate it as the new head had smaller holes.

Most likely you have a corroded pipe type situation somewhere in your plumbing. If you have any old sections that are iron (also galvanized iron), this is where to start getting it replaced. As this is old stuff, I'd be inclined to let a plumber do it. Everything is rusted and you might end up causing a leak elsewhere while trying to torque off the old pieces.

take off the shower head and see if there is a little flat peice of plastic in the part where your water comes thru and if there is remove it then replace shower head onto pipe ,, if not then try changing the shower head to a diffrent style such as a hand held shower

pull the shower head. there will be a plastic or vynal "washer". pull this; it is a water saver, and the pressure should increase. if this doesnt work, odds are pipes are partally clogged. the only help for that is a liscensed plumber.

depends how old it is and what kind. it may just be plugged up. take the head off and soak in CLR. if you cant get the head off try try to attach something to it so you can soak it. if you can take it off and get it apart thats the best way to clean it. this is assuming that you have good preassure everywhere else and there are no leaks .
