I use a Doppler every day and recently, on two occasions, I have heard an occasional missed beat. This is freaking me out. Has anyone else experienced this? What was the result or doctor's explanation?

OH its fine! Listen to your own, you will hear missed beats. Your heart naturally slows or speeds up... When this happens, what do you think happens? If its slowing, it will sound like a missed beat. Also, there are other explanations such as it going off the doppler. If the baby moves, you may miss a beat. Human hearts naturally miss beats. Your fine! Good luck! I had a doppler with my son and loved it :)

I say you should rely on your doctors fetal dopplers rather than your own. When I get really excited my heart skips a beat....

I was getting monotird for blood pressure and my daughter would have missing beats and the reason for it was shed move and then you couldnt hear her heart. I was freaked out but the nurses told me what was going on and it was funny because she would move because she didnt like my position. I wouldnt worry sometimes you have to chase the baby with it.
