Why do some stock prices continue to change after the market has closed?

I'm new to investing..Just wondering why stock prices change after the 4 pm market close?. can u still buy shares after 4 pm?

You can invest after hours. However you generally have to pay more to do so, and the after hours market is less liquid meaning the price you pay can deviate widely from what you'd expect to get.
