I was wondering what an administrator would know about me as a member and a poster. I'm talking about a small phpBB message board. Do they have my IP address? There's a section where you can give a member a thumbs up or down, can they see how I voted? And can they see what areas I've viewed in the group? Any other information would also be welcome. Thanks!

The answer to your questions yes.
phpBB tracks IP addresses when you register, you put in your name, email and password all of which an administrator can see at any time.
Each and every post, answer to a poll or anything else, your IP address is recorded.

Well it is probable that they track IP addresses but that is not always beneficial.

For example if you do not have a static IP address, they will not be able to map the IP address to you personally.

You are logged in and hence what they know what a certain member (i.e. with a certain id) did. But can they mapping the Id you're using (or the IP you're using) to you is another issue.

Hope this helps.

IP address- yes, this would be in the server logs
ratings- depends on how it is configured
areas viewed- yes, this would be in the server logs.

They can also tell what OS you are running and the Browser.
