I met my boyfriend when i was in italy for the first time. It was love at first sight. We kissed before we even talked and two days later I moved into his apt for the remaining month there. In the next 11 months we spent 3 months together (me there twice and he came to the us once). Then I moved there and we spent the next six months together. In that time we had communication problems, becuase he knew some english and i knew no italian, we were always learning. Other than that things were okay but he didnt encourage me to speak italian and didnt help me with independant life outside of the relationship and apt. I met friends and things were great until one day we were fighting and he slapped me across the face. I slapped him back and went back to the US. Its been 1 month, hes been writing messages saying he wants to get me a job and buy me a ticket back. he admits his mistakes completely saying he never did that before or will again. I love him very much. should i go back?

hes never done anything like this before, but i clearly told him at the beginning of our relationship that i was not tollerant of violence against women. so I think it was more disrespectful. On the other hand, we have an amazing connection and we love being lovers and just friends. We can communicate without words, its just the most genuine relationship ive ever had. Its such a hard decision deciding wether to move back. Im a scorpio and hes a sag so...haha i need help :)

He should come to you, you are both wrong to have slapped each other, but as he is the one who slapped first he should come to the us to see you, if that works well then you sit down together and decide where you want to go, you dont mention if your happy over there or you would prefer him to come here, if youc are for him you cant let love slip by over one silly fight, dont go jumping into it tho incase it doesnt turn out, good luck!

hard to say hun . i wouldnt. my hubby has never EVER put his hands on me in violence like that. we just argue alot lol. been married for 8 1/2 yrs. i personally think if he did it once he'll do it again, even if it is just heat of the moment and he'll once again say im so sorry im so sorry and so on. ive seen it too many times not to believe that it is true. im sorry i cant give you a more definite answer just what i would do in your situation. hope this helps you hun.
