Soak as much of the urine as you can with a paper towel, I use white vinegar and pour it directly on the area and let set a few minutes then soak up with more paper towels, if you want to save on paper towels you can use old towels or rags to soak up, they are washable and can be reused, let the area dry then apply some OUT for pet stains and odors, you can buy this in the pet section at Walmart, between the vinegar and the OUT it will cut the stain and the odor. One of the Bissel spot cleaners would be a good idea as well. Good luck in house breaking your puppy.

Not sure about the upholstery but I have a routine for my puppy messes on my carpet. Blot area with a towel. Spray with white vinegar (soak pretty well). Blot up all you can stepping on it and all. Place another dry towel on it . Pile books or something heavy on top and let it sit for awhile occasionally flipping the towel so that the part over the stain is dry. You might do that a second time just in case. The vinegar works as well as any enzyme cleaner and is antibacterial, plus the odor will be gone and the vinegar smell will fade. When I clean with my steam cleaner I put vinegar in my rinse water. It neutralizes the detergent and kills puppy smells.

I have a Dacshund and she had accidents as a Puppy and will do even now at 4 years old if she gets sick. I found a great carpet cleaner at Wal-Mart and it does not cost that much. It even says on the bottle for Dog and cat Urine, and pet smells. Just spray it on and use a small Brush and scrub it in, removes excess with a paper towel. It does the trick and leaves No stains.

Invest in the Little Green Machine by Bissel (mini steam machine for "little accidents", use on your furniture, or in your vehicle) I have one and it works great.
First I just turn it on and It extracts the urine out of the carpet... then you can use the cleaner it comes with or even as suggested before, vinegar and water to dilute it and then extract it again. I just repeat this step a few times to make sure its out. I then take old towels folded and place it on top of the wet carpet with something heavy on top to help it absorb the moisture and let it sit for an hour and then repeat with clean towels until its dry. After that, I spray on alot of the antibacterial Febreeze. Works for me.
I also know that you can get this stuff, not sure what its called from the vets office, but you spray it on areas where your pet has soiled and it covers up the smell of the pheremones in the urine so that they don't keep going back. It wasn't cheap when I bought it a few years ago... around $50 CDN

Blue Seal carries a great product line called Natures Miracle. It takes out all kinds of protein based stains like puppy tinkle and, if you dont get her fixed soon enough, even the stains left behind when she goes into heat. I'm sure you can find it at other pet stores also.

The very best I have found is an enzyme cleaner called Outright. Enzyme cleaners are bacterial cleaners that eat up the bad bacteria. The odors are gone and the germs too without damage to fabrics or carpets. Use warm water.

A great product that I have found works great is called Nature's Miracle it helps remove stain and odurs.
please keep in mind that puppies have small bladders.
you want to discipline and correct this right away or your puppy is going to mark all over your house.
you may not smell it anymore but the puppy will and may continue to pee in the house as a result.
It takes hard work and dedication to train puppies, so good luck.
your hard work now will pay off in the long run.

Shaving cream is a real good cleaner. It is soap which lacks moisture. Spray it on, dont need much, work it around with a spoon or something, wipe it off with a soft clean rag. Then wipe the surface with a damp cloth, to remove any residue. This technique will remove lots of stuff from many fabric surfaces. (I got pepsi out of the cloth car interior)

Use Oxiclean. It works wonders. It removes the stain and it doesn't come back and it also eliminates the odor.
