My sons best friend got a call from his Dad's employer that he hadn't been to work for awhile and wondered if he knew of a reason why and why they couldn't reach him by phone. The young man didn't know and wasn't at all close with his Dad as is often the case at his age. He emailed him for a couple of days cause he would usually respond to that but still nothing. Called his Grandma in a different state to ask if she knew of a reason but came up empty there too. Finally at the end of 7 weeks from his last day at work the son got my son to give him a ride out to where his Dad lived. He was laying in a dried pool of what used to be his body next to a floor furnace that was still on and completely mummified.
I certainly don't want my Kids to find me this way. Or anyone else for that matter. Was very traumatic for both these boys. My son still sees it in his dreams.

Right now I'm in the middle of a deserted wilderness, hundreds of miles away from any form of civilization, typing away on my computer and frying beans over a fire. So it would probably take a few years.

Not long. My cat is already throwing herself against the door to my office, looking for something to eat. It's bound to wake my husband soon.
