Most common acids have the Hydrogen element because it is the one element that forms the hydrogen ions.

Of course there are other acids without hydrogen, but they are not common.

Most common is hydrogen ,but according to modern chemistry an acid is defined as a substance that can accept a lone pair of electrons like CO2, SO2 etc.

the hydrogen ions (H+), strong acids are, nitric NH3, hydrochloric HCL, sulfuric H2So4, the rest are weak acids
