Ok I wanted to buy this chevy but the check engine light is on. The engine sounds good and the body is good im jus really worried about that light, what could it be? Where could i find 1 of those OBD scanners to check for problems for this year make and model?

go to your local Auto Zone, they will loan you one maybe other auto parts stores will also

You can jump the computer diagnostic connector under the dash from the A to the B slots in it (upper left 1st & 2nd slots)
and turn the key on . It should flash out a trouble code or codes . 1 Flash = 1 4 flashs = 4 code 14 you can get the code description from the internet. good luck

…and scroll down below the definition chart. There you will find a discussion of the procedure for retrieving the diagnostic codes without a scanner. It is simple, accurate, non-intrusive, and only requires a paperclip.
Then refer to the chart or a QUALITy repair or shop manual for the propoer DIAGNOSTICS, and SUBSEQUENT repairs. Do it in that order and you will spend less time, money and effort on the repair, and will only need to repair it once.
