I accidentally let a lime wedge go down the drain and stopped working. I pulled the wedge out, and pushed the reset button and didnt work. I flip the switch to turn on the disposale, and can hear the humming of the motor like it wants to start up but doesnt. HOw do i fix it?

On the bottom of the disposal there is an "ALLEN SCREW' with an Allen wrench turn it back and forth until it turns freely. You may even have the Allen wrench on the inside of the cabinet if you had a kind plumber. If you don't have an Allen wrench set. you can use a wooden handled broom or even a wooden spoon handle down the drain and use it to turn the disposal. The first way is the preferred way.

Be careful, turn off the disposal and get a stick about 2 ft. long that you can use as a lever and put it inside the top part of the disposal through the drain and break it free with a stirring motion, the peel is just wedged in between the blades and the housing, that's why you use the stick in case it slips it won't cut you. You will be able to spin the blades by hand when it is free.
